Leukoformula is an online school of laboratory diagnostics and hematology. How the school works and who writes the material.
What we do #
Leukoformula is an educational project about laboratory diagnostics and hematology. We review blood and bone marrow smears, teach how to read the differential white blood cell count, and discuss staining techniques and clinical cases.
Who writes the material #
The school runs as an open platform: articles and slide photographs are published by the specialists themselves — teachers, laboratory physicians, technologists and students. Everything is moderated before it goes live.
A note on language #
The articles are written in Russian — that is the working language of our community. The photographs, however, need no translation: a smear looks the same in every language, and the captions are short enough for a dictionary.
If you work in laboratory medicine and would like to publish a case in English, write to us. We are glad to start.
Practice without Russian
The trainer is a separate application where you examine digital smears and count cells. It works fine without knowing Russian — the interface is mostly numbers and cell names in Latin.
