❗Corpora amylacea are endogenous inclusions in tissue sections that resemble parasites. 👉These inclusions in the lungs appear as a radiation hazard sign ☢ (they are also called “Maltese cross”). They are small, rounded or oval masses of unknown origin found in pulmonary alveoli. 😳They are found in the lungs at autopsy with a frequency of 0.6 to 2.8%. Source: Barrios R., Haque A. K. (ed.).
