Automated Urine Test Strip Analysis: Clinitek Atlas

Principles of automated urine test strip analysis on the Clinitek Atlas analyzer: photometric reading, refractometry, and elimination of subjective errors.

🧪 Automation of urine test strips: fewer errors, more efficiency. An article from 1995.

Test strips have long been the basis of rapid urine diagnostics. However, visual color assessment is subjective: different laboratory technicians may interpret the same result differently. 🤷‍♂👁

A study showed that the Clinitek Atlas automated analyzer confidently handles the task: it accurately determines up to 11 parameters (glucose, protein, pH, specific gravity, etc.) using optical color reading and the refractive index measurement method for specific gravity. 📉💡

📈 Comparison with chemical methods and other instruments (including Clinitek 200+) showed high consistency of results, especially when assessing glucose, pH, and specific gravity. This approach reduces staff workload and increases analysis reliability in high-throughput settings. 🚀
