A 59-year-old female patient presents with leukopenia and anemia. This case study examines the morphology of large blasts with basophilic cytoplasm in the bone marrow during acute leukemia.

Hematology case study. A 59-year-old female patient. Peripheral blood shows leukopenia 1.26 ×10^9, 72% lymphocytes, normochromic normocytic anemia, Hb 80 g/L.

The photo shows hypercellular bone marrow. We note large blasts with abundant basophilic cytoplasm, and nuclei with prominent nucleoli. What morphological diagnosis can we assume?
