Rendu-Osler disease is a hereditary condition based on vascular endothelial insufficiency, resulting in the formation of multiple angiomas and telangiectasias on various areas of the skin and mucous membranes of the lips, mouth, and internal organs, which bleed. Patients often suffer from iron deficiency anemia due to recurrent gastrointestinal bleeding from gastrointestinal telangiectasias. Vascular malformations on the face, lips, and hands are visible upon examination. Post prepared by: Yulia Sukhoruchko, dermatologist-venereologist, member of the closed club of hematologists.
