Ascitic Fluid Cytology: Atypical Cells Morphology

Morphology of atypical cells in ascitic fluid: microscopy of native preparations and Romanowsky staining when malignancy is suspected.

🔬 Ascitic Fluid. Native Preparation and Romanowsky Staining

Atypical cells are cells that differ from normal cells in their structure, size, shape, etc. Such cells are prone to rapid atypical division (amitosis), which leads to tissue overgrowth and the formation of malignant tumors.
