Clinical case of renal tumor detection via urine sediment cytology: discovery of atypical cell complexes during microscopy after Romanowsky staining.

🔬 Urine sediment cytology. Smear images from an 80-year-old woman. Romanowsky stain. During native examination, large cells of suspicious morphology were noted. Complete urinalysis showed abundant leukocytes, few erythrocytes, and negative protein. Ultrasound of the kidneys was recommended in the conclusion.
