Blood smear morphology in suspected CML: leukocytosis 397×10⁹/L, left shift to blasts, basophilia, eosinophilia, Harlequin cells, and micromegakaryocytes.
Peripheral blood smear, 62-year-old male. ❗Leukocytosis WBC: 397! Blasts, promyelocytes, myelocytes, metamyelocytes, a large number of eosinophils and basophils were found. Micromegakaryocytes, giant platelets, normoblasts, and Harlequin cells (dysplastic eosinophils with large purple granules, similar to basophil granules) were also encountered.
