🔬 Answer to the parasitology problem: Rodentolepis (Hymenolepis) nana, dwarf tapeworm. Upon microscopy, characteristic features can be observed: tapeworm segments are arranged in a “ladder” pattern. The parasite’s head has hooks that help it attach to the intestinal wall. The eggs – although still immature, they are easily recognizable by large hooklets that noticeably diverge. Furthermore, upon detailed examination, polar filaments – thin thread-like structures inside the egg – can be seen.
