🔬 Cytology. Skin scraping: Demodex mite under the microscope.
The images show the results of examining samples from different patients.
Initially, this biomaterial is sent to us for cytological examination, most often to detect basal cell carcinoma of the skin. However, in most cases, opportunistic flora is found, such as the Demodex mite – a frequent “guest” of the skin.
How often do you encounter demodicosis in your practice? Share your observations in the comments! ⬇
