Morphological finding in bone marrow aspirate: a plasma cell with Russell bodies (Mott cell) in a patient with suspected TEMPI syndrome.
The patient is being examined for possible TEMPI syndrome. Complete blood count shows erythrocytosis (6.94×10^12). In the bone marrow aspirate, the lymphoid lineage is not expanded (6.7%), and the percentage of plasma cells is within normal limits (0.3%). An interesting finding in the photo – is it a Mott cell?
