A 54-year-old patient from the hematology department, diagnosed with lymphoma.
The complete blood count shows severe anemia, anisocytosis and poikilocytosis of erythrocytes; leukocytosis with lymphocytosis, predominantly represented by abnormal lymphocytes (blasts?), with irregular nuclear shapes, indistinct nucleoli, finely dispersed chromatin, some with vacuolated cytoplasm.
Perhaps the hematologist will interpret this as leukemization of lymphoma, and a bone marrow biopsy will be taken for further microscopic examination.
