Microscopy of Mobiluncus spp. in Bacterial Vaginosis

Morphology and staining of Mobiluncus spp. in bacterial vaginosis: features of detecting anaerobic rods in gynecological flora smears.

🔬Mobiluncus - Mobiluncus spp. Microscopy of female genital smears. ✅These microorganisms are found in the human vagina, especially in combination with Gardnerella vaginalis in cases of bacterial vaginosis. ✅Mobiluncus is a genus of Gram-positive anaerobic rod-shaped bacteria. These bacteria can be stained as Gram-negative or Gram-variable. However, they are classified as Gram-positive rods due to having a Gram-positive cell wall, lacking endotoxin, and being susceptible to vancomycin, erythromycin, and ampicillin, but resistant to colistin. 💎Look for a video recording of microscopy with these bacteria from the vagina in the private library LAB-TESTS (Screenshots from the video are photos 2-4 in the post carousel). In the LAB-TESTS library, select the folder: 10. FEMALE GENITAL SMEARS (microscopy) → video → Video recording: “Gynecology. Bacterial vaginosis. Mobiluncus spp.”. There you will also find over 70 other video recordings of microscopy of urogenital smears for flora in women.
