Mobiluncus is a genus of anaerobic bacteria with a curved shape (comma-shaped) and a size of about 1.5–3 × 0.4 µm. Under microscopy, they often appear as thin, curved rods. Normally present in small quantities in the genitourinary tract. Their active proliferation in women usually serves as a marker for bacterial vaginosis! The photo shows coccobacillary flora with Mobiluncus!
