Monoblastic Leukemia: Cell Morphology in Blood Smear

Case study: anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukocytosis, and large monocytoid cells with cytoplasmic vacuolization in suspected monoblastic leukemia.

In the peripheral blood of a patient (84 years old), anemia, Tr-penia, and leukocytosis were observed. The leukocyte differential showed large cells with monocytoid nuclear morphology and cytoplasmic vacuolization (monoblastic leukemia?). Further examination is recommended (bone marrow puncture, IFT).
