⚠ What happens if acute myelomonoblastic leukemia is left untreated?

👉 A patient refused further treatment after 1 course of chemotherapy.

❗ 3 months later, they were brought back to the hospital in critical condition.

🩸 Hemoglobin 40 g/L. Platelet count 1 thousand/µL. Leukocytosis 80 thousand/µL.

‼ The differential white blood cell count showed blasts. In the bone marrow, 96% blasts with altered morphology (images below).
