Bone Marrow Plasmocyte Morphology in Myeloma

Bone marrow findings in suspected multiple myeloma: 15% plasmocytes, cytoplasmic clasmatosis, binucleated cells, and active megakaryocytes.

Sternal puncture of a 63-year-old patient with suspected multiple myeloma. Peripheral blood showed anemia, elevated ESR. Bone marrow was cellular, with 15% plasmocytes. Cytoplasmic clasmatosis, mitotic figures of the plasma cell lineage, and binucleated plasmocytes were observed. Megakaryocytes were active with good platelet budding.
