🔬 Morphological evaluation of human spermatozoa is important not only for predicting, within limited bounds, spontaneous pregnancy or the outcomes of ART, but to a greater extent for obtaining diagnostic information about the functional state of male reproductive organs, primarily the testes and epididymis. To assess the state of male reproductive organs, it is not enough to merely determine the proportion of “normal” spermatozoa. It is important to evaluate the specific morphology of the head, neck/midpiece, and tail, as well as the possible presence of abnormal cytoplasmic droplets.
