ATYPICAL PROMYELOCYTES (blasts) in the peripheral blood of a patient with a confirmed diagnosis of ACUTE PROMYELOCYTIC LEUKEMIA (FAB-M3). In the complete blood count from 03.04.2026 – newly diagnosed pancytopenia, with blasts in the differential count (photos 1,2). Ten days later, the complete blood count still showed anemia and thrombocytopenia, the leukocyte level increased to 39.9×10^9/L, and blastosis became more pronounced (photos 4,5,6,7). The blast cells changed their morphology; invaginations of the nuclei appeared in some blasts, which is apparently related to the ongoing chemotherapy.
