The importance of the pre-analytical stage in any study is difficult to overestimate; it makes a huge contribution to the proper organization of the study and obtaining reliable test results. At our meeting, we will primarily focus on current WHO recommendations, which are constantly updated, accumulating existing experience in diagnosing coronavirus infection and the most relevant research in this area.

Currently, a number of domestic PCR amplification tests are already available, which, according to Russian recommendations, among others, are the main methods for diagnosing 2019-nCoV.

For this reason, it is especially important to be guided by the pre-analytical requirements set by test system manufacturers, as well as by current guidelines for the diagnosis of this infection.

Speaker: Kirgintseva A.N., market development expert at “GEM” LLC, executive secretary of the Committee for Work with Clinicians in the “Microbiology” direction (“Federation of Laboratory Medicine”).
