A 66-year-old male. AML relapse. Smears were prepared from a bone marrow aspirate sent for IFT. In the smears, we observe blasts and a large number of normoblasts and megaloblasts with signs of dyserythropoiesis. The quality of the smears is suboptimal; the aspirate is hypocellular, and all large cells, unfortunately, ended up in the “brush” area of the smear.
