Clinical case of MDS transforming to AML: 43% blasts, pronounced clasmatosis, signs of dyserythropoiesis, and cytochemical bone marrow results.

Myelodysplastic syndrome, transformation to acute myeloid leukemia ‼️ Material - bone marrow. Blast count 43%. Myeloid granularity is frequently observed, occasionally Auer rods. Prominent clasmatosis of the cytoplasm is noteworthy. In the erythroid lineage, signs of dyserythropoiesis are noted (intererythroid cytoplasmic bridges, abnormal nuclear shapes). Photos 9,10 - positive reaction for phospholipids in blasts. Also, a positive reaction for myeloperoxidase in 9% of blasts. PAS reaction - in diffuse form. According to IFT results - 45% blasts, myeloid variant of acute leukemia confirmed.
