Trichomonas Vaginalis Morphology in Gynecological Smears

Microscopic appearance of Trichomonas vaginalis in gynecological smears: features of trichomonad detection with methylene blue and Romanowsky staining.

🔬 Trichomonas vaginalis. The same patient. Two gynecological smears. Photos 1-5 from 19.05.2025, outpatient clinic visit, photos 6-10 from 20.05.2025, from the gynecology department. To be sure, the second smear had to be stained with Romanowsky. Apparently, treatment was started promptly, hence such a difference in the morphology of these “beauties”
