Severe Anemia: Erythrocyte Morphology in Blood Smear

A clinical case of severe anemia (Hb 35 g/L): marked hypochromia, anisopoikilocytosis, basophilic stippling, Howell-Jolly bodies, and neutrophil hypersegmentation.

A patient with severe anemia, hemoglobin 35g/L, erythrocytes 0.79•10*12/L. Microscopy (in photos) revealed marked hypochromia, anisocytosis, poikilocytosis of erythrocytes, basophilic stippling, Howell-Jolly bodies, and hypersegmented neutrophils.
