Male, 65 years old. Böttcher’s crystals are small, colorless or slightly yellowish crystalline structures. They are formed from spermine and phosphate salt. With age, involutional processes occur, which can affect the composition of the secretion. There is a tendency for calcium concentration to increase, which contributes to crystal formation. Associated with chronic prostatitis.

Amyloid Bodies in Prostatic Secretion: A Microscopic Finding

🔬 Excited to share a cool finding! 🥳 I discovered amyloid bodies in prostatic secretion. Prostatic secretion, 45 years old. Romanowsky-Giemsa stain (no elements of prostatic secretion found).
Eyepiece 10x, objective: 1) — 10x, 2-3) — 40x, 4-5) — 100x
Question: colleagues, what are the correct words to describe this: squamous epithelium in the stage of keratinization, squamous epithelium in the stage of leukoplakia, leukoplakia of squamous epithelium, or are there other formulations?

Schistosoma Haematobium Eggs in Prostatic Secretion

🔬 Schistosoma haematobium in prostatic secretion in a 40-year-old man.

✅ Schistosoma haematobium, a blood fluke, is a parasitic flatworm that causes urogenital schistosomiasis in humans. This helminth inhabits the venous system of the genitourinary organs, and its eggs are excreted in urine, causing inflammatory reactions and tissue damage. The disease is prevalent in Africa and the Middle East, where contact with contaminated fresh water leads to the penetration of larvae through the skin. Key symptoms include hematuria (blood in urine), painful urination, and complications such as bladder fibrosis or even cancer. Diagnosis is based on the detection of eggs in urine, and treatment is carried out with praziquantel.
